When children become researchers for a day
4. 5. 2018
5. class of Steinerskolen in Trondheim visited NTNU’s Trondheim biological station (TBS) to learn about jellyfish and they also went hunting for polyps. They first had a great presentation about jellyfish, the food chain and life in the ocean held by dr. Nicole Aberle-Malzahn and they had lots of great questions and discussions.
Thereafter they went to the beach. They were very excited and found lots of different species of snails, crabs, kelp and they also managed to find jellyfish polyps!
Finally, they also cleaned the beach in front of TBS by collecting and disposing marine debris (mostly plastics). What a great class of students!
