The second from our series of introductory videos that were filmed by GoJelly partners from SINTEF, Norway, presents the importance of modelling jellyfish blooms.
In this video, Dr. Lionel Eisenhauer explains how statistical and mathematical modelling can help fishermen and scientists. As the ocean is huge and the possibilities of regular monitoring of jellyfish presence are limited, the modelling helps us to predict the time and location of jellyfish.
